One of the most important and enchanting stretches of the wine route along the Etruscans Coast winds among silvery olive trees and noble vineyards. Here are produced world’s class wines from original Bolgheri, like the Sassicaia and the Ornellaia wines, together with numerous others. This golden quality of Italian wine finds its roots in the generous nature, mild weather and extraordinary talent of the wine makers. Along the wine route, while touring the evocative landscape, with its woods and hills on one side, and the sea on the other, one finds farms, magnificent cellars designed by famous architects, and small agricultural companies, churches and castles, within a festive but also intimate frame. A place of honor is due to the extra-virgin olive oil of great quality produced in local mills with traditional techniques. This oil, which accompanies a number of natural foods and our delicious culinary specialties, has obtained the prestigious IGP quality stamp and the recognition of the Tuscan Oil Consortium.
